Peter Miles, former Executive Vice President, Sales and Operations, BMW of North America has managed up to 2000+ employees. Peter is enjoying early retirement and works with a partner in a BMW franchise.

What advice does Peter give for C-level? Peter attributes his success to his desire to grow people and businesses. He says he didn’t set out to be at the top, but he always set goals and worked with teams to reach and surpass those goals.

He learned that the bigger it is, the slower it moves. When revenue needs to improve, your strategy and goals have to resonate with everyone from the top down to the employees. The hardest thing is keeping it simple but powerful — so that others will “buy In” to your goals.
